Drunk Railway TTE Pulls Female Passenger Out Of Train On Station In Karnataka, Suspended

Another railway traveling ticket examiner (TTE) has been accused of allegedly misbehaving with a woman customer while she was leaving Krishnarajapuram station in this city, days after a TTE was caught on a Kolkata-Amritsar-bound train. I was detained for allegedly urinating on a woman. Railway has suspended TTE during the investigation.

According to the railways, the TTE misbehaved with the woman and insisted that she show her ticket when the train stopped at Krishnarajapuram to cross with someone else.

The video of the woman allegedly confronting the TTE on the railway station platform on Tuesday has been posted on Twitter by a user. In the video, a woman can be seen shouting at the TTE, who asks her why she pulled over after showing her the ticket.

The TTE, who was allegedly drunk, shouted at the woman, a group of men standing nearby watching the incident came to her aid and caught hold of her as she tried to flee from the spot.

He can be heard saying, “He’s drunk, call the police.” Railway PRO Office, Bengaluru in a statement regarding the incident said, “Train number 22863, HWH (Howrah) – SMVB (Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru) Express, is a weekly Humsafar Express, and has no stoppage at KJM.” (Krishnarajapuram Railway Station).”

Asserting that the traveling ticket examiner seen in the video is Santosh of KJM station and not the onboard TTE, the statement said, “It is alleged that he pulled the lady passenger out of the train when the train stopped. It also It is alleged that he was drunk on duty.” The TTE has been suspended with immediate effect, the statement said, pending an inquiry.
