Amazon Prime Video on November 15 launched the trailer of its Telugu crime-thriller Drishyam 2, which featured Venkatesh Daggubati reprising his role from the Telugu hit Drishyam. The film is a remake of Malayalam hit Drishyam 2. Apart from Venkatesh, the Jeethu Joseph directorial features a slew of actors including Meena, Kritika, Esther Anil, Sampath Raj and Poorna. The film raises the stakes with a quicker and more thrilling one, drawing the audience into an intense and gripping story as the man of the house once again attempts to protect his family after the events of that fateful night six years ago. Drishyam 2 picks up where the first film ended, and takes the audience on a roller coaster journey as Rambabu’s (Venkatesh Daggubati) family is threatened by investigations into past events. Rambabu going by the trailer, this time may not be easy for Rambabu and has to face new opponents. Although he seems to have moved on, as he is busy with his theater and film, the guilt of his crimes remains. Other family members are also fighting guilt in their own way. Furthermore, his own villagers do not think he is completely innocent and are seen constantly discussing his case.
