DRDO successfully test-fires upgraded version of Pinaka rocket
Continuing the development of the Artillery Rocket System, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) launched the Extended Range Version of the indigenously developed Pinaka rocket from the Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) on June 24-25. successfully tested. Defense sources said that twenty-five rockets were fired continuously and the test fulfilled the entire objective of the mission.
He said the advanced range version of the Pinaka rocket system can destroy targets at a range of up to 45 kms.
