The arrest of a Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) scientist in connection with the blast in a Delhi court on Saturday surprised everyone. Delhi Police said that explosives-making material has been found near scientist Bharat Bhushan Kataria. He had blasted Delhi’s Rohini court on December 9 to take revenge on his lawyer neighbor. He had a 6 year old property dispute with the lawyer.

1000 vehicles, 100 cameras checked
Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana said that the Special Cell team probing the blast checked 1,000 vehicles that came to the Rohini court that day. More than 100 CCTV cameras were checked. The police claim that they have sufficient evidence against the accused Bharat Bhushan along with electronic devices. The explosives were kept in a black colored bag and left in the court. After the CCTV investigation, the police suspected Bhushan.

The accused left the bag in the court room
On December 9, a blast took place in room number 102 of Delhi’s Rohini court. One person was injured in this. The blast was done by remote control. Amidst the CCTV investigation, the police came to know that Bharat Bhushan Kataria, the neighbor of the victim lawyer, had also reached the courtroom that day. According to Commissioner Rakesh Asthana, he reached the courtroom at 9.33 am. An hour later, at 10.35, he left a bag in the court room.

Plan to keep bomb made after property dispute
According to the police, Kataria has a property in Ashok Vihar. The lawyer lives in one floor of this property. The rivalry started about 6 years ago over the installation of a lift in a 4-storey building. Both the parties have filed several cases against each other. In the last hearing, the court had imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 on Kataria for unnecessarily prolonging the date. was fined. The final arguments in this matter are to be held on December 20, in which charges against Kataria can be framed.

Tiffin bomb did not explode properly
Forensic experts and the National Security Guard (NSG) told Delhi Police that the bomb was kept in a steel tiffin. There was also half a kilo of ammonium nitrate in it, but due to improper storage, only the detonator exploded.
