AHMEDABAD: A man from Vejalpur lodged a police complaint on Sunday that a woman had lured him into her house and tortured him by his accomplices to extort Rs 5 lakh from him.
He said the two men demanded money for not registering a rape case. A complaint has been lodged with Sector-7 Police of Gandhinagar.
Mahendra Sisodia, 33, a milk and sweet seller, had befriended himself on Instagram two months ago with a woman named Heena Rao.
He invited Sisodia to his home in Golden Paradise in Wavol. When Sisodia was at his house on October 25, two men assaulted him. They tortured him till October 28, when he somehow managed to escape.
