Doorstep Banking Services: Know What SBI, HDFC Bank, PNB Customers Charge Here

New Delhi: As the pandemic situation persists and a new form is raging around the world, people are trying to stay indoors as much as possible to avoid infection. In such a situation, Doorstep Banking (DSB) facility comes to the rescue. DSB is an initiative of Public Sector Banks Alliance to provide primary banking services at your doorstep.

To ensure smooth and secure services, banks are allowing their customers especially senior citizens to apply for door-to-door banking services. One can avail the facilities for any of the 12 listed public sector banks only if the account is linked to your phone number.

Under this facility, you can avail 10 non-financial services, which include collection of cheques, request for new chequebook, delivery of account statement, taking Form 15G or 15H. Any individual can submit digital life certificate through doorstep banking.

These are the bank charges for availing DSB services

State Bank of India

SBI customers can ask for doorstep banking service at their home branch. In case of non-financial transactions, SBI charges Rs 60 plus GST on each trip, while the cost of financial transactions is Rs 100 plus GST. It is to be noted that the amount of cash withdrawal and deposit is limited to Rs 20,000 per day for each transaction.

Punjab National Bank

Senior citizens who are above 70 years of age, including persons with disabilities, can use Punjab National Bank’s DBS services. The bank provides door-to-door banking facility through its branches to the people within a radius of five kilometers of the bank. The bank charges Rs 100 non-financial plus GST* and for financial transactions, it is Rs 100 plus GST.

HDFC bank

According to the HDFC Bank website, the maximum cash disbursement limit per withdrawal is Rs 25,000, and the minimum amount will be Rs 5,000 for HDFC Bank customers. For cash pick-up and delivery, HDFC Bank charges Rs 200 plus tax. The bank charges Rs 100+ tax per visit to pick up any device. Cash delivery service will be provided on self drawn cheques.
