Don’t care about clash with Spider-Man, cinema should win: Allu Arjun

Mumbai: Superstar Allu Arjun on Thursday said that though his latest ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ will face Hollywood film ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, he is looking forward to the audience coming back to the theatres, a culture that He believes that is currently on the decline.
A day after Tom Holland’s much-awaited Sony-Marvel superhero film, the first part of Arjun’s multilingual action thriller “Pushpa” will hit the theaters on Friday.

During a special event of the film here, Arjun said that it is important that the audience visit the cinema halls for the culture of watching in the cinema halls to flourish, whatever the film is.

“We are in a situation right now where today in India and across the world, the culture of people coming to theaters has gone down. I am not watching ‘Pushpa’ or any other film, I am watching Indian cinema. Cinema should win and not only Indian cinema, but world cinema as a whole, ”the actor told reporters.

The 39-year-old actor said he hopes tent-pole films like “Spider-Man”, “Pushpa: The Rise” or the Kabir Khan-directed cricket drama “83”, which release next Friday, will go ahead. Huge draw at the box office.

“I think ‘Spiderman…’, should bring people back to theatres, ‘Pushpa’ should bring Indian people back to theatres. It is about celebrating cinema again. Next week also ’83’ My best wishes to them.

“I hope it will bring people back to the theatres. I also want to congratulate Hindi cinema for the success of ‘Sooryavanshi’. I am more concerned about cinema than ‘Pushpa’ right now.”

“Pushpa” reunites Arjun with Sukumar, the director of his 2004 blockbuster film “Arya”.

The soon-to-be-released film chronicles the Red Sanders robbery in the hills of Andhra and depicts the complex nexus that unfolds during the story of a man obsessed with greed.

Arjun said working in ‘Pushpa’ was a challenging experience. “It is a difficult film to shoot. We were shooting in a forest with around 500 people. The logistics including providing food, accommodation… keeping cleanliness and following all the protocols was really tough. It is said that shooting this film is equivalent to shooting four films.

‘Pushpa: The Rise’ also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.
