Don 3 has been in the news for the longest time. Fans often take to social media to question the makers about its shoot and release date. Farhan Akhtar has hinted many times that the film is coming soon. Now producer Ritesh Sidhwani has given a big update regarding the third installment of Superstar. Shahrukh Khan-fronted action thriller Don. The producer said that the film is currently in the scripting stage and director Farhan Akhtar is finishing it.
Ritesh Sidhwani said that he is not yet aware of the plot of the much-awaited film. Sidhwani said, “We will not do anything until my partner (Farhan Akhtar) finishes writing it. Right now he is in the scripting stage. Even so, we all are eagerly waiting to watch ‘Don’. are doing.”
Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s banner Excel Entertainment has bought the rights. Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 1978 film of the same name and remade it with Shahrukh and Priyanka Chopra Jonas is in the lead. The first “Don” released in 2006 and the second installment followed in 2011 with Shah Rukh and Priyanka reprising their roles. Both the films were directed by Farhan Akhtar.
Meanwhile, Ritesh Sidhwani is currently promoting the banner’s web series “Dahad”, directed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, the show is set in a small sleepy town in Rajasthan and follows the gruesome murder of several women in the lead sub. revolves around the investigation of the cases of Inspector Anjali Bhati (Sinha).
In February this year, the eight-part Prime Video crime-drama had its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival as part of the Berlinale Series programme. The response was “overwhelming”, Sidhwani said, adding that the festival gave her an opportunity to present India’s culture and issues to a wider audience.
“Dahad” also stars Vijay Verma, Gulshan Devaiah and Sohum Shah. It is produced by Excel Media & Entertainment and Tiger Baby of Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti.
