‘Does not listen to his workers, how will he listen to us’: Akhilesh, SBSP war of words amid growing rift

The rift between the Samajwadi Party and its ally Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) has widened after the results of the by-elections to Rampur and Azamgarh parliamentary seats.

After a few days, Om Prakash Rajbhar appeared in front of the media and took a spectacle. Akhilesh Yadav For losing the election, the Samajwadi Party chief hit back at the SBSP chief, saying he did not need any advice from anyone.

Asked why he did not go to campaign for Rampur and Azamgarh bypolls, Akhilesh said, “Our people told me that they are sure of victory and there is no need for me to come.”

This statement came after Rajbhar took a dig at Akhilesh and said that if the election is to be won, then the comfort of air-conditioned rooms has to be given up.

“Elections are not won by sitting in AC rooms,” Rajbhar said. He also advised Akhilesh that if you want to win the election, then enter the field.

Reacting to the statement, Akhilesh Yadav said, “I do not know from where our allies are operating, although we do not need any advice from anyone.

Responding to Akhilesh’s statement, SBSP spokesperson Piyush Mishra said, “Even when the assembly elections were just over, Rajbhar ji had advised Akhilesh Yadav to get out of the AC rooms, even then he did not heed the advice.” As a result, he did not go to Rampur and Azamgarh and eventually the party lost in the by-elections.

“When you (Akhilesh Yadav) do not listen to the advice of your own people, how will you listen to a small party like ours? For all political parties, workers are paramount, but when workers are being ignored in SP, why would you give importance to us.

As per reports, SBSP chief Om Prakash Rajbhar had campaigned for the by-election in Azamgarh along with more than 300 workers, but SP chief Akhilesh Yadav did not go even once to campaign for Azamgarh or Rampur parliamentary seat.
