Doctor Reveals Two Food Items That ‘Destroy’ Our Immune System

A balanced diet plays an important role in the proper functioning of one’s body. While a diet rich in nutrients will strengthen your immune system, a diet deficient in nutrients will impair it. Recently, doctor and health expert Nick Zyrowski revealed two foods that “destroy” one’s immune system. And those foods are sugar and vegetable oil.

Although sugar and vegetable oil are two commonly used ingredients in the kitchen, consuming them can be harmful to one’s health. Dr Nick shared his thoughts on the same in an Instagram reel. According to him, soy, corn, canola, safflower, sunflower and peanut oils may be worse for one’s immune system than sugar.

In the caption of his Instagram post, he revealed that instead of these oils, which can seriously weaken the immune system, people should switch to avocado, olive and coconut oils. Dr. Nick also believes that sugar is more difficult to avoid than vegetable oils. But, it should be avoided to improve your immunity.

He also added, “Many health foods are loaded with bad fats that claim they are healthy, natural, and good for you. Two things can be true at once. These fats can be organic and natural, one are found in ‘trusted brands’ and can still be wildly unhealthy.

Social media users appreciated the noble work of the doctor. In the comment section of his post, a user pointed out, “Just be careful not to sell olive oil in bulk. It is diluted with low-grade olive oil or, in some cases worse, diluted with seed oil. Olive oil is expensive and sadly there is a huge market for the unscrupulous product.
