DNA Exclusive: Analysis of ‘murder’ angle in Kanjhawala incident

New Delhi: In a significant development in Delhi’s Kanjhawala accident case, CCTV footage has revealed that the accused knew beforehand that they had killed the victim. The police found in the investigation that the accused knew that Anjali’s body was trapped under the car. Delhi Police on Thursday said they have identified two more suspects in the case who tried to tamper with evidence and gave false information to help the accused. All the five accused in the Kanjhawala incident were presented in the Rohini court today and have been sent on police remand for 4 days. There are now seven accused in this case, out of which two are yet to be arrested.

Zee TV has CCTV footage in which the accused in the Kanjhawala case can be seen. Now it is a matter of investigation whether he deliberately crushed Anjali’s body or was he so drunk that he did not realize it.

This CCTV footage is of Rohini Sector 1. Some people and an auto can be seen in the video at around 4.33 am. After some time the car of the accused comes and stops here. Actually, around 3.30 pm, the accused had called two of his friends. According to the police, he told them about his crime and tried to escape from the police.

This CCTV video has revealed that there are a total of seven accused in this case. There were five passengers in the car and two of their companions were standing in Rohini to help friends by calling an auto.
