Divya Agarwal Admits Breakup With Varun Sood Happened Because of Her, Calls It ‘Abrupt’

Ever since Divya Aggarwal and Varun Sood parted ways, the two have often been asked about the reasons behind their breakup. However, in a recent interview, the Bigg Boss OTT winner finally revealed what happened between her and Varun. She admitted to a ‘confusion’ and revealed that their ‘sudden’ breakup was because of her.

“With Varun, I felt everywhere. With Apoorva, I would feel calm and mature. I introduced Varun to Apoorva. I told him clearly that I have a problem. I was confused. Whatever happened is very wrong and happened because of me. I need to stay somewhere. And that’s why it was such a sudden break-up. Divya recently said in Amrita Rao and RJ Anmol’s podcast, I took the car to a scary stop.

“The thought always used to cross my mind that if I were to marry my ex (Varun), would I want to invite Apoorva and if I invite him, would I be okay seeing him on that side. Apoorva has been the most important person in my life. I had a lot of complicated emotions going through my head,” the actress said.

Divya Aggarwal and Varun Sood dated each other in the past but announced their breakup in March 2022. Following this, the Bigg Boss OTT fame released a statement announcing that she and Varun are no longer dating each other. In March this year, the Abhay actress mentioned that it is best to separate if a ‘relationship becomes a source of unhappiness’.

“Why does society only blame women for relationship breakup? In my opinion, sometimes separation is the best decision when the relationship becomes a cause of unhappiness and I did the same. Women have long put aside their self-respect and interests for the benefit of the society. If she thinks for herself, she is made to feel guilty or labeled as a rebel,” she told IBT India.

Meanwhile, Divya is now engaged to entrepreneur Apoorva Padgaonkar. The latter proposed to the actress on her 30th birthday in December 2022.
