Punjab Congress President Navjot Sidhu’s scathing attacks have stirred the Congress. Sidhu’s press conference on Monday again targeted the Channi government. Soon after, Sidhu’s meeting with CM Charanjit Channi is being organized at the guest house of Raj Bhavan. Punjab Congress in-charge Harish Chaudhary is also present in this.

Sidhu has been taken by his close minister Pargat Singh for the meeting. This meeting is being linked to the resolution of differences between Sidhu and CM Channi. Sidhu is constantly competing with the government over the appointment of DGP and Advocate General.

Sidhu said Channi was appointed CM by the high command

All is not well between Navjot Sidhu and CM Charanjit Channi. This hint was also revealed in Sidhu’s conference on Monday. When he was asked that he had made Channi the CM, Sidhu went bifurcated. He categorically denied that he had any role in making Channi the CM. He said that Channi has been made by the CM High Command.

Harish Chaudhary had taken Sidhu and CM Channi to Kedarnath a few days ago. However, even after this, Sidhu’s anti-government rhetoric did not stop.

Sidhu again indicated in Monday’s press conference that the Punjab government would have to choose a DGP and AG or either of them. Sidhu had earlier also resigned over the same appointments. Increased trouble for Congress in elections

Navjot Sidhu has claimed victory in 80 to 100 seats in Punjab but his attitude is creating problems for the party. Sidhu has not formed the organization even after about three and a half months after becoming the head. At the same time, they are not going to Congress Bhavan. Apart from this, no message has been given to the Congress workers at the grassroot level to campaign or strengthen the party. In such a situation, the concern of the Congress party has increased. Concerns are being expressed from the high command about this matter within the government and the party as well.
