It was earlier announced that Rosshan Andrrews would make his Hindi film debut with Deva, an action thriller starring Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde.
Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor turned 43 years old on Sunday. Several celebrities including Hrithik Roshan, Kriti Sanon, Rashmika Mandanna, Shehnaaz Gill, Sidharth Malhotra, Jackky Bhagnani and others poured in birthday wishes for the actor. Director Rosshan Andrrews also joined in, sending his heartfelt birthday greetings to the beloved actor via social media.
It was previously announced that Malayalam filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews would make his Hindi film debut with Deva, an action thriller starring Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde. On Shahid’s birthday, Rosshan shared behind-the-scenes photos of their upcoming film on Instagram.
The caption of the post reads, “He wrote, “Many many happy returns of the day to my dearest loving Brother Shahid Kapoor. Thank you for all the conversations…laughs…you are one of the finest actors I have ever worked with and it’s an honour to direct you as my DeVa! With lots of love and respect, I wish you a great year.”
Shahid Kapoor responded and expressed how excited he is about the film set, saying, “Thank you, Rosshan. Can’t wait to get back on the Deva sets.”
Touted to be an edgy action thriller, Deva is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Shariq Patel in partnership with Zee Studios. Amit Roy, known for Animal, is the cinematographer for the film. The cast also features Pavail Gulati and Pravessh Rana. Set for an October 11 release, the film is penned by Bobby, Hussain Dalal and Sanjay.
Shahid Kapoor is currently basking in the success of his latest release Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya. The film stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role. Shahid Kapoor is soon going to be seen in a slew of upcoming films including Bull, Awara Pagal Deewana 2, Untitled Sanjay Leela Bhansali film, and an untitled film with Vashu Bhagnani among others.
Speaking of Rosshan Andrrews, he is best known for films like Kayamkulam Kochunni, 36 Vayadhinile and The Pirates of Diego Garcia. Saturday Night starring Nivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, and Grace Antony was his last release.
