Speaking on the various ways how Digital India has improved the ease of citizens’ lives, he said, “From getting pension to getting birth certificate, the tasks which were earlier done in the required weeks are now done within hours. can be done inside.”

“Eight to 10 years ago, we had to stand in queues for everything. For birth certificate, for bill filling, for ration, for admission, for exam result, for certificate, had to stand in a queue in banks. How long did we stand in line? India has eliminated all lines by going online,” he said.

He said that the adoption of digital platforms like Aadhaar, UPI and others has been made possible by the leadership.

He said, ‘If India does not adopt new technology with the changing times, then it will remain backward. The country experienced this during the Third Industrial Revolution,” Modi said. He lauded India for having the lowest data cost in the world and said, “Internet access has changed the lives of citizens.”

Modi said in the program that the central government’s flagship program Digital India has given relief to the poor from corruption and it is working to eliminate middlemen in all sectors. “‘Time is money’, is a phrase we have heard many times. Through Digital India we have helped citizens save time through easy access to multiple services,” he said.
