After the big victory in West Bengal, now Mamta Banerjee’s eyes are on the politics of the country. Mamta will deliver a speech at the Martyr’s Day program in Kolkata on Wednesday at 2 pm. His speech will be shown on big screens in different cities. That is, it will be a virtual rally of Mamta across the country. It will also be streamed in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Tripura and other places. The speech will be translated into local languages.

On July 21, 1993, 13 activists were killed in police firing during the Youth Congress demonstration in Kolkata. Mamta was leading this demonstration. Since then, Trinamool Congress started celebrating this day as Martyrs’ Day. Every year on July 21, Trinamool organizes a big rally on this day. Last year, on this day, Mamta addressed the party workers from her office.

‘Mamata government in Delhi in 2024’

Party leader Madan Mitra told that TMC is going to enter national politics on July 21 through virtual programs. For this, large screens will be installed in Tripura, Assam, Odisha, Bihar, Punjab, UP and Delhi. He said that in 2024, there will be a Mamta government in Delhi. Uttar Pradesh is the biggest factor in the 2024 general election. Here BJP is going to lose in the assembly elections to be held in 2022.

slogan like bengal assembly

Mamata’s ‘Jisse Desh Chahta Hai’ slogan is similar to the one she gave in the Bengal assembly elections held this year. In Bengal, Mamta gave the slogan – Bangla nijer meye ke chaye i.e. Bengal wants its daughter. The image of the daughter was presented very carefully so that the Bengali public could see Mamta, the girl from the neighborhood who single-handedly demolished the Left Fort.

After winning Bengal, eyes on other states

Soon after being made the general secretary of Trinamool, Abhishek Banerjee had said that now the party will contest elections not only in Bengal but also in other states. Even before this, Trinamool has contested elections in Kerala and Gujarat, but could not make much impact. In Manipur, Arunachal and Tripura in the North East, the party made a hold but could not maintain it. A Trinamool leader said that now the mood of the country is different.

Mamta’s dream of the Center is not new

  • The dream of Delhi Durbar is not new in Mamata Banerjee’s mind. In 2012, when he opposed Pranab Mukherjee’s nomination for President by the UPA and named APJ Abdul Kalam, it was only then that it became clear that he had central politics in mind.
  • In 2014, Mamta’s party won 40 Lok Sabha seats, yet she did not get any role at the Center, as the BJP led by Modi got the biggest majority. The situation remained the same in 2019 as well. However, Mamata has also returned with a bigger majority in the 2021 elections.
  • In 2019, Mamata Banerjee brought almost all opposition parties on one platform when she held a rally at the Bridge Parade Ground in Kolkata. However, neither the Congress nor the BJP considers the Trinamool, which has been a part of both the NDA and UPA governments, as a reliable partner.

Mamta is the only leader of the country to stop Modi-Shah: Trinamool

Trinamool’s Rajya Sabha member told The Telegraph that Mamta would put her plan and vision regarding national politics in front of everyone within 48 hours. After the 2021 Bengal assembly elections, it has become clear that Mamata is the only leader in the country who can stop Narendra Modi and Amit Shah. A Trinamool source said Didi’s political plan has many benefits. In states like Gujarat, the opposition space is vacant and Didi wants to grab it.

2022 UP elections will be a litmus test

For the opposition, the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections will be like a litmus test and it can prove to be a huge opportunity for the Trinamool as well. After Bengal victory, Trinamool has started membership campaign in Uttar Pradesh. Trinamool’s eyes are on the disgruntled BSP leaders in rural areas.
