In a 2015 episode titled ‘BART to the Future,’ The Simpsons featured a scene with a sign in the background that read “Trump 2024.” Seven years later, Donald officially announced his run for the 2024 election. Following Saturday’s shooting, users on X (formerly known as Twitter) shared images from the episode, suggesting that the show had predicted the Trump ‘assassination attempt.’

One person tweeted, “NO WAY THE SIMPSONS PREDICTED DONALD TRUMP GETTING SHOT,” alongside an image of a Trump-like caricature in a coffin. Another user remarked, “Simpsons got some explaining to do.” Despite these claims, they are unfounded.
