Rajinikanth’s daughter Aishwarya and actor Dhanush were married for 18 years before he called it quits. They recently announced their separation, which not only shocked their families but also Rajini and Dhanush’s fans. The couple has two sons.
Rajinikanth and Dhanush’s father Kasturi Raja were earlier rumored to be in talks to reunite the pair, with the latter promising that good news would come soon.
As per the latest reports, Dhanush and Aishwarya are said to have attended a party organized by a mutual acquaintance in Chennai a few days back. The guests there waited impatiently for them to talk to each other, but they reportedly ignored each other.
In 2004, Dhanush married Aishwarya Rai, daughter of superstar Rajinikanth. Aishwarya has directed films like 3, a Tamil romantic thriller, and Vai Raja Vai, a black comedy.
Announcing their separation, Dhanush and Aishwarya posted notes on their different social media handles. Dhanush had written, ’18 years together as friends, couple, parents and as each other’s well-wishers. The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjustment and adaptation…Today, we stand at a place where our paths diverge…Aishwarya and I separated as a couple and brought us together as individuals for the better. Decided to take the time to understand. Please respect our decision and give us the confidentiality we need to deal with it. Adoration to Lord Shiva!”
Aishwarya has also shared the same note on Instagram. The caption of the post read, ‘No caption needed…only your understanding and your love is needed!
Talking about the workfront, Dhanush has many films in the line. Dhanush will be next seen in Vaathi, directed by Venky Atluri. Sanyuktha Menon has been cast opposite Dhanush in the film.
Dhanush will also share the screen with Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana de Armas in the American action thriller, The Gray Man.
