Dia Mirza composed on 15 February Vaibhav Rekhi In a private wedding held at his Mumbai residence. The wedding was attended by close family and friends of the couple. Soon after, Diya and Vaibhav went to Maldives for their honeymoon and announced that they are expecting their first child together. In May, Diya and Vaibhav made their parents Avyan.
Announcing the birth of her son, Dia had shared on Instagram, “Quickly arriving, our little miracle has since been cared for by tireless nurses and doctors in the Neonatal ICU. Sudden appendectomy during my pregnancy and subsequent and very serious bacterial infection can lead to sepsis and can prove to be life threatening. Thankfully, timely care and intervention by our doctor ensured the safe birth of our baby via emergency C-section. When we look at this tiny creature, this Zen master in awe and wonder, we learn from him, with all humility, the true meaning of trusting in the universe and fatherhood. And not to be afraid, and so we humbly lead by their resilience and courage. We can’t say enough words to thank all the people who continue to help us live this story of hope and faith and create a safe, healing, nurturing space for Avyan and I. He will come home soon and his elder sister Samaira And the grandparents are waiting to hold her in their arms.”
