Bollywood’s new mom Dia Mirza has entertained fans with a special picture on Instagram on the occasion of World Elephant Day. The actress gave fans a glimpse of her newborn baby Avyan, who was dressed in a white huis with an elephant figure. He shared the picture on his Instagram story with the caption, ‘We are celebrating #WorldElephantDay’. see below:
Dia Mirza also shared her selfie with her hand on her cheek and a soft smile.
Diya and her husband Vaibhav Rekhi welcomed their first child, Avyan, on 14 May. However, the couple announced the birth of their child in July, saying that he was born prematurely. Sharing a picture of her baby’s hand, Dia wrote, “To paraphrase Elizabeth Stone, ‘To have a child is to forever decide to let your heart roam outside your body.’ These words are perfectly exemplified by Vaibhav and my feelings at this time. Our heartbeat, our son Avyan Azad Rekhi was born on May 14. Arriving early, our little miracle has been cared for tirelessly in the Neonatal ICU ever since. Nurses and doctors did it.”
While Avyan is Diya’s first child, her husband Vaibhav is also the father of a daughter, Adaira, from her first marriage.
Earlier this year, Diya married businessman Vaibhav Rekhi, which was attended by family and close friends of the couple.
The actress later announced her pregnancy in April this year. She shared the good news by posting a picture in which she was nursing her baby bump. Filled with joy and enthusiasm, Diya penned a heartfelt poem, which read, “Blessed be… One with Mother Earth… One with the life force that is the beginning of everything… Of all the stories. Lullabies. Songs. New plants. And hope blossoms. Blessed to have these purest dreams in my womb.”
