Exactly a month back, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) head coach Stephen Fleming had revealed that skipper MS Dhoni is suffering from a knee injury which is ‘hampering his movement’. The statement came after the team lost to Rajasthan Royals by 3 runs in Chepauk. Since then, CSK has played 9 matches in IPL 2023 and the skipper has not missed a single one of them. Despite a knee problem, Dhoni has kept wicket in all the games and has also run between the wickets with great intensity while batting.

On Sunday night, Chennai Super Kings won IPL 2023 match no. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) 61 by 6 wickets. After the conclusion of the game, Dhoni and Co. took a victory lap at Chepauk to thank the local fans who turned up in large numbers to watch CSK’s last home game this season.

Dhoni and Co. will face Delhi Capitals in their final league game and will be aiming to reach 17 points to secure passage to the playoffs.
