CBI has got important clues in the murder case of Judge Uttam Anand in Dhanbad a month ago. According to sources, the accused who killed the judge were using stolen mobile phones. He had stolen these phones the night before. From this mobile, he had called some numbers before the murder. Earlier, two accused were arrested in the murder case. During interrogation, it was revealed that the autorickshaw used in the murder was also stolen.

Phones were stolen from railway contractor
CBI investigation has revealed that before the murder of the judge, both the accused had stolen three mobile phones from railway contractor Purnendu Vishwakarma. Both were talking continuously from the same phone. However, the SIM cards that were being used in the phone belonged to both the accused. After the phone was stolen, Purnendu Vishwakarma had lodged a report in a local police station, but the police personnel present there did not pay heed to it. Constable Vijay Yadav has been suspended for negligence.

During interrogation, both the accused have also confessed that they drank alcohol after stealing the autorickshaw. After this they went to Purnendu Vishwakarma’s house to steal the phone. Both the accused are in the custody of CBI. According to sources, narco test of both is being done.

After the murder, the police had arrested two people on July 29. One of the auto driver was Lakhan Verma while the other was Rahul Verma. Investigation revealed that the auto which was used in the murder was registered in the name of a woman.

Dhanbad District Judge Anand Kumar was hearing the cases of many mafia and had also rejected the bail applications of many. Not only this, he also had a case of murder, in which the accused was close to the MLA. The Supreme Court took cognizance of the matter on July 30 and commented on it. After this, the investigation of this case was handed over to the CBI on August 4.
