Adding fuel to the fire, BJP leader Uma Bharti said that the party does not have copyright on devotion to Lord Ram and Hanuman. His statement comes a day after he urged the Lodhi community in Madhya Pradesh that they should “look around” and feel free to vote for any party.

Uma Bharti is one of the tallest BJP leaders in Madhya Pradesh, and is reportedly angry with the party leadership for sidelining her. ndtv said the report.
Earlier on December 25 during his address at a convention of marriageable boys and girls of his community in Bhopal, he had told the Lodhi community that they were free to vote for any party keeping in mind their interest.
While she herself is from the same community and calls herself a loyal soldier of the BJP, she said, “I will come, I will come on the stage of my party, I will ask for votes. I never say vote for BJP if you are Lodhi. I request everyone to vote for BJP as I am a loyal soldier of my party. But I would expect you to be a loyal soldier of the party.”

State Congress tweeted the video of Bharti’s address saying, “Big message for Lodhi community- Senior BJP leader and former Chief Minister Uma Bharti has indicated to Lodhi community that now there is no need to vote for BJP.” Uma Bharti ji, welcome to the grand campaign to save Madhya Pradesh.

Uma Bharti questioned the need for protest over the uproar over the film ‘Pathan’. “The censor board of the BJP government should immediately remove the objectionable scenes,” he said, adding that there was no need for politics.
