Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is buzzing with excitement about fellow Telugu filmmaker Koratala Siva’s upcoming action fantasy epic Devara: Part 1, which stars Jr NTR. Ahead of the film’s release this month, Sandeep hosted a fun chat with the cast and director. The official X handle for Devara dropped a teaser of this chat on Saturday, promising the full video on Sunday.
In the clip, Sandeep, flanked by Jr NTR, Koratala Siva, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, throws some fun questions their way. When he asks about the runtime of Devara: Part 1, Koratala points out the irony of Sandeep asking about a film’s runtime. Jr NTR then cheekily asks Sandeep, “What’s the runtime of Animal, sir?”
Koratala admits it was hard to write Janhvi’s character, and Janhvi jokes that Sandeep is asking for the whole movie plot. When Sandeep asks Saif to quote one of his lines, Saif shyly says, “I knew you’d ask me this,” making everyone laugh. Sandeep also asks if Saif’s character will die in Part 1 or make it to Part 2. Jr NTR adds that the 35-minute underwater scene in Devara will definitely get a lot of attention.
Meanwhile, days ahead of its theatrical release, Jr NTR’s Devara has reportedly received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. As reported by Bollywood Hungama, Koratala Siva’s directorial was given certification after four moderations. “Sparking a tidal wave of excitement, man of masses NTR Jr’s Devara: Part 1 (Telugu) has been given the green light to cast off, securing a U/A certificate from the censor board,” a press release issued by the makers said.
Devara is set against the coastal lands and is helmed by Koratala Siva. The film also marks Jr NTR’s 30th film. Reportedly, the actor will be portraying both, father and son on screen in this film. Devara also stars Janhvi Kapoor and marks her debut in South films. It is also her first-ever collaboration with Jr NTR. Saif Ali Khan will also play a key role in Devara. The film will also feature Ramya Krishna.
