A video has surfaced from Dasna Jail in Ghaziabad, UP. In this, a man is seen dancing to the tune of a serpent with a female bhajan singer. Former IPS Amitabh Thakur’s wife and social activist Dr. Nutan Thakur claims that this person is Ajay Kumar Singh, Deputy Jailor of Dasna Jail.
Dr. Nutan Thakur has complained to the Chief Minister with the YouTube link of this 19 second video. On the other hand, the jail superintendent clarified that when the audience comes to rest during Devi Jagran, in order to wake them up from sleep, dance-singing is done by the Bhajan troupe in between.
Violation of conduct rules
Dr. Nutan Thakur informed that a colorful program is going on in Dasna Jail premises. In this, Deputy Jailor Ajay Kumar Singh is dancing with a woman to the tune of Naagin. He said that this case seems to be a violation of the Conduct Rules. Along with this, the coming and dancing of color girls in the jail premises is also serious. Apart from the Chief Minister, Dr. Nutan Thakur has also complained to the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Home, DGP, DG Jail and DM-SSP of Ghaziabad.

The superintendent said – dancing and singing was being done to wake up the audience from sleep
Dainik Bhaskar spoke to Dasna Jail Superintendent Alok Singh to confirm the video. The superintendent confirmed that this video is of a temple built in the Dasna jail premises. On the occasion of Navratri, Devi Jagran was organized here on 3rd April for the jail staff and their families. During this 108 lamps were also lit.
Superintendent Alok Singh said, I also saw the video, but did not find anything objectionable. In the late night, when the audience comes into a state of relaxation, in order to wake them from sleep, in between dances and songs are performed by the bhajan troupe. He said that the complaint has been made by misrepresenting the video.
There was a serious complaint even two days ago
Social activist Dr. Nutan Thakur had complained to the government about Dasna Jail in Ghaziabad just two days back. He had alleged that in the name of beds, exchange of letters and supply of narcotics in the jail, huge amount was being extorted from the prisoners. He had also accused of killing the lambardar Satish in barrack number-24A. According to Nutan Thakur, a prisoner from jail sent an anonymous letter. After which he has complained to the government about it.
