As per the records of the state health department, 13,532 tests of suspected patients were conducted, out of which 3,760 have been found positive for dengue. At present, there are 39 laboratories in Punjab Free Dengue Testing.

Taking serious note of the increasing number of dengue cases in Punjab, Deputy Chief Minister OP Soni directed the Health Department officials to expedite anti-dengue activities.
He also urged people to take precautions like avoiding accumulation of water in coolers, pots and other utensils in or near their homes. He said that dengue and malaria have been notified under the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897. Accordingly, all private hospitals in the state of Punjab are required to report dengue and malaria cases to the health department.
Free dengue treatment is available in all government hospitals and dengue wards have been set up in government hospitals for the treatment of patients. Blood components are available for the treatment of dengue patients in government hospitals.
Soni said that to eliminate dengue, the number of breeding checkers has been increased to 460 and mosquito repellent is sprayed in 50-60 houses around the house of dengue patient.
218 new covid cases in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab
Himachal Pradesh reported 191 COVID-19 cases and four deaths due to the virus on Monday, while Haryana Nine cases and zero deaths were reported, and Punjab reported 18 new cases and one death.
On the vaccination front, over 1.05 lakh people have been given vaccination in Haryana and 2,24,018 in Punjab.
