Several structures have been razed in Jahangirpuri despite the Supreme Court’s order staying the demolition drive. NDMC claims the drive continued because of the absence of a written order from the SC. The North Delhi Municipal Corporation had ordered the demolition of illegal structures in the violence-hit area. But it was stopped within hours following a Supreme Court order.
