New Delhi: According to the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) report, India is on its way to become the most populous country in the world with 142.86 crore people. India will leave behind China, whose population is shrinking and ageing. While the country’s huge population is a challenge and a nightmare for the authorities, it can also turn out to be a boon for India. According to the report, India has an advantage in demographic dividend – nearly 50% of the population is below the age of 25.
