New Delhi: Two members of ‘Tillu gang’ arrested for allegedly killing a man gang rivalry In North West Delhi‘s karala area, police said on Wednesday.
The accused have been identified as Akshay (21) and Suraj (22), residents of Sonipat in Haryana.
On July 31, the incident of firing on Shaheed Bhagat Singh Marg was reported. A senior police officer said that on reaching the spot, the police was informed by a woman that five bike-borne men fired at her brother-in-law Nitesh when he was on his way to his factory.
Police found Nitesh’s body lying in a pool of blood. Later, the police came to know that Nitesh’s elder brother Parvesh is in jail along with his associate Jitendra alias ‘Gogi’ for murder, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Pranav Tayal.
He said, “During the investigation, the police examined the CCTV footage and identified the motorcycle used by the accused. Akshay was arrested on August 4 and his co-accused Suraj was also arrested on Tuesday. ”
According to the police, Parvesh was involved in the murder of a member of the Tillu gang.
During interrogation, Akshay and Sooraj confessed that they had killed Nitesh with the help of their three accomplices Rakesh, Deepak and Rahul Tyagi.
A pistol, two live cartridges and a mobile phone have been seized from them, the official said, adding that efforts are on to nab the remaining accused.
