Delhi’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded at 34.1 degrees Celsius, five notches above the season’s average, making it the hottest day of the season so far, the India Meteorological Department said.

IMD scientist Kuldeep Srivastava said that at 34.1 degree Celsius, Delhi recorded the hottest day of the season so far. Today is the 12th day of this season which started from March 1 and today the maximum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 34.1 degrees Celsius, which is the hottest day of this season so far.

The IMD official said that Delhi recorded a maximum temperature of 40.1 degree Celsius on March 30, 2021, which was the hottest day ever.

According to the official, the maximum temperature recorded in Delhi was 40.6 degree Celsius on March 31, 1945.

The city recorded a minimum temperature of 15.2 degrees Celsius on Sunday.

The IMD said the relative humidity ranged between 85 and 27 per cent.

The weather office has forecast a partly cloudy sky for Monday and the maximum and minimum temperatures to hover around 34 and 16 degrees Celsius, respectively.
