Delhi Police’s Girlfriend Search Tweet: Comedy Gold Goes Viral!

A youth from Delhi tweeted to the Delhi Police, misspelling the word ‘single’ as  ‘signal’ and asking when they will find him a girlfriend. In a witty response, the Delhi Police quoted the tweet and jokingly replied that they can help only if his girlfriend goes missing.

‘Sir, we can help you find him (only if he ever goes missing),’ replied the police.

‘They playfully added: “Tip: If you’re a ‘signal’, we hope you stay green, not red.’

This witty retort from the social media team of the Delhi Police, known for its smart replies and funny yet educational posts, hardly came as a surprise. It underlines the importance of being open to rules and regulations by showing the happy side of the department.

‘When a person writes ‘signal’ instead of ‘single’, that could be a red flag or light for many,’ wrote another user.

In addition to the hilarious responses from social media users, a third user commented in the comments section: ‘Green signal! I tried to be a green signal but no one stopped at a green signal. Everyone stops at red. Just everyone likes. a green signal but no one stops at it and wants to cross it as soon as possible before the red light turns on. Everyone hates a red light, but unfortunately, everyone stops at a red light.’
