The new Parliament House in the national capital was illuminated with colorful lights today (May 28). Light and laser show was organized in the new Parliament House of Delhi.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament House on Sunday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that ‘Amrit Kaal’ will give a new direction to the country and the new Parliament House should be a shining example of the country’s vision and resolve for a New India.
PM Modi said that the construction of the new complex provided employment to more than 60,000 laborers and a digital gallery has been created to honor their hard work.
Addressing the ceremony, PM Modi said, ‘Foreign rule of many years took away our pride from us. But today India has left behind that colonial mindset. India is the mother of democracy. It is also the foundation of global democracy. Democracy is our ‘sanskar’, thought and tradition”.
He further said that there was a need for a new Parliament and the new building is equipped with modern facilities and latest equipment.
He said, “There was a need for a new Parliament. We also have to see that the number of seats and MPs will increase in the coming times. So it was the need of the hour that a new Parliament should be formed.” , “The building is equipped with modern facilities and has the latest gadgets. It has given employment to over 60,000 labourers. We have created a digital gallery to honor their hard work.”
The Prime Minister further said that inspiration is the same from Panchayat Bhawan to Parliament House.
“When we sit in the new Parliament, I take immense satisfaction on the achievement of building 4 crore houses and 11 crore toilets for the people, building 4 lakh kilometers of rural roads, building 50,000 Amrit Sarovars, and 30,000 new panchayat buildings From Panchayat Bhawan to Parliament House, the development of our country and its people is our inspiration.”
