Delhi-NCR rain: IMD predicts light rain in the national capital today

New Delhi: Delhiites woke up to a hot and humid morning on Friday (July 15, 2022) and the minimum temperature was recorded at 27.5 degrees Celsius. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the national capital is likely to receive light rain during the day. The Meteorological Department also said that the relative humidity stood at 68 per cent at 8.30 am. The IMD said the maximum temperature is likely to be 38.4 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal.

Skymetweather has said in a report that easterly winds are blowing from the Bay of Bengal in Delhi and NCR region. The report said that this situation will continue for the next three days and after that there will be a change in the winds, as a result of which such activities will stop.

Earlier on Wednesday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 38.4 degrees Celsius, a notch above normal.

Delhi’s air quality

According to the data of the Central Pollution Control Board, Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) was recorded in the satisfactory (71) category at around 9 am.

An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
