Delhi Metro: Passenger sitting on track delays train services, normalcy later

A passenger on the tracks of Delhi Metro’s Violet Line delayed train services at Badkal Mor station on July 8. However, the services have now resumed. The Violet Line of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) connects Kashmere Gate in Delhi and Raja Nagar Singh (Ballabgarh) in Haryana.

DMRC earlier tweeted, “Violet line update. Delay in services from Badarpur Border to Raja Nahar Singh (Ballabgarh) due to one passenger on track at Badkal Mor. Normal service on all other lines.” More details are awaited from DMRC and Delhi Police.

On July 4, a woman was killed when she jumped in front of a moving train at Jor Bagh station on the Yellow Line of the Delhi Metro. Earlier, on June 30, a 50-year-old man was injured when he jumped in front of a train at Moolchand Metro station on the Violet Line.
