New Delhi: A 33-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly posting personal pictures of a woman on social media. The police gave this information on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Rajesh Singh Suman |, resident of Aligarh In Uttar Pradesh, They said.
According to the police, a woman has lodged a complaint with Dwarka South police station that Suman is stalking, blackmailing and threatening her.
A senior police officer said that she said that she came in contact with the accused through a matrimonial website, met him several times and later shared her personal photographs with him.
However, their marriage got annulled, following which the accused started blackmailing and threatening the complainant that he would post the photo on social media platforms and with acquaintances, the official said.
The woman alleged that she created a fake Facebook and instagram The police said that there are accounts in his name and have started posting his pictures on them.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Shankar Choudhary Said that the accused was arrested from Aligarh and his phone was also confiscated.
He said Suman was earlier arrested in a similar case registered at the Welcome Police Station in northeast Delhi.
Police claimed that Suman confessed that she had committed several such crimes involving different women and that her mobile phone data was being analyzed.
