Delhi: I Killed My Colleague And Buried… Man’s Harrowing Confession Over Murder

A shocking incident occurred in southwest Delhi’s RK Puram area on August 28, where a Survey of India (SIA) employee was killed and subsequently buried by a colleague. The accused identified as Anish, is a resident of RK Puram Sector-2.

The victim, Mahesh, was employed at the SIA office situated at the Defence Officers Complex in Sarojini Nagar. According to the police, Mahesh had previously lent Anish Rs 9 lakh, and the fatal altercation occurred when Mahesh demanded the repayment of the loan and berated Anish for spending money extravagantly on his girlfriend.

On August 29, a call was made to the RK Puram Police Station by Mahesh’s brother, reporting him missing. That’s when the truth of the incident started to unfold. The concerned brother revealed that Mahesh had left home around 12.30 pm on August 28, informing his wife that he was going to meet his colleague Anish at RK Puram Sector 2. However, he never returned.

Mahesh’s brother recounted that when they inquired with Anish about his whereabouts, Anish claimed to have met Mahesh at his residence but stated that Mahesh had left for his own home after a while.

Anish even offered assistance to Mahesh’s family in their search for him. During their investigation, the police traced Mahesh’s last known location to Faridabad in Haryana. However, upon reaching Faridabad, no evidence of his presence was found. Subsequently, multiple suspects, including Anish, were interrogated.

Anish ultimately confessed to the crime, revealing that he had killed Mahesh due to persistent harassment for the loan repayment, accompanied by insults. He recounted that when Mahesh’s wife inquired about his whereabouts, he informed her that Mahesh had arrived and left, leaving his car behind.

On the day Mahesh disappeared, he received a call from Anish, who had invited him to his residence in RK Puram. Tragically, Mahesh met his untimely demise at Anish’s hands, and his body was concealed near Anish’s house, coinciding with ongoing sewer work in the area.

In response to Anish’s confession, the police recovered Mahesh’s body near Anish’s residence and seized Rs 5 lakh in cash, two vehicles employed in the crime, and the weapon used during the incident from the accused.
