New Delhi:

The Kejriwal government will soon open 100 more Mohalla Clinics across the city to provide primary health services to the residents. Preparations for these upcoming clinics are underway and will be completed soon.

On Monday, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who holds the additional charge of the Health Ministry, met officials of the Public Works Department and Health Department to review the project.

In a statement, Mr. Sisodia said, “The Kejriwal government’s Aam Aadmi Mohalla Clinics are well known across the world, and people are visiting Delhi to learn about this public health model. The Delhi government aims to provide primary health care to every resident of Delhi, and expanding the number of Mohalla Clinics is a historic step in this direction.

At the same time, the work of digitizing all the Mohalla Clinics in Delhi is going on fast. Many mohalla clinics have been completely digitised, with information on patients and their medical history being collected using tablets available in the clinics. Doctors will be able to know about the medical history of their patients with a single click. This will help doctors better diagnose and treat patients.”

According to Mr Sisodia, Mohalla Clinic is the first point of detection of any disease coming in the city. After digitization, the data here will be used to assess any disease before it affects the people of Delhi. In addition, such data will be important in the development of healthcare policies.

It should be noted that the capital currently has 519 mohalla clinics that provide free primary health care services to patients, which include 212 different types of tests. More than 60,000 people are treated daily in these Mohalla clinics.
