Delhi flood: Red Fort to be closed for visitors till July 14

New Delhi: As the water level in the Yamuna river reached an all-time high, submerging several parts of the national capital, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on Thursday closed the Red Fort for general public till July 14, 2023.

In an order issued on Thursday, the ASI said, “In exercise of the powers conferred under Rule 5 of the Ancient Monuments, the Director General, ASI directs that the Red Fort shall remain closed for public and general visitors from the second half of July 13.” Till July 14 due to heavy monsoon and rains.”

Due to the rising water level of the Yamuna river, many parts of the national capital are submerged, including Math Bazar, Yamuna Bazar, Garhi Mandu, Geeta Ghat, Vishwakarma Colony, Khadda Colony, Neeli Chhatri Mandir near Old Railway Bridge, Neem Karoli. Went. Gaushala and Ring Road from Wazirabad to Majnu Ka Tila.
