Aanchal, a fitness and wellness coach from Delhi, said that she was not disturbed by the negative comments.

Aanchal, a fitness and wellness coach from Delhi, shared a series of posts about some of her favourite exercises to boost strength. She also explained how just three basic workouts — flat pressing, incline pressing and chest fly machine — have helped in her journey. She shared her before and after pictures taken in 2021 and then in 2023. These photos showed her going from a lean body to a much more muscular one. Her post got over seven lakh views since it was shared on May 14. However, instead of engaging with the fitness content, a section of people trolled Aanchal for her “muscular” body.

Well, instead of getting bogged down by the negativity, the Delhi-based fitness enthusiast took a sarcastic approach towards the hate comments.

Two days later, Aanchal shared another post in which she called out people for their negative comments. She has shared a gym photo which perfectly flaunted her abs. She wrote that while she was not disturbed by the blatantly rude comments, she was concerned that no one read or engaged with the “immense knowledge” she had shared alongside her photos and videos.

Anchal also explained that the photo that captured her bulked-up figure was taken in winter when she was six to seven kilograms heavier.

Hitting back at the trolls, she wrote, “I can’t believe a girl on a bulk can shatter the ego of thousands and thousands of men.”

In a follow-up post, she added, “And to the women who trolled me, be better, stop with the pick-me behaviour.”

People have backed Anchal in the comments section.

An X user wrote, “They hate you ’cause they can never be you. I’m proud of the dedication, determination and the hard work you put on yourself. You’re a strong, resilient and beautiful individual and I’m happy for you.”

Another said, “I find it strange that people would critique you for bulking up – unless they felt insecure. Go for it – it’s your body, it’s your life!”
