Delhi: Fire breaks out in basement of building in Lajpat Nagar; 80 people were rescued safely. watch

A fire broke out in an electrical panel in the basement of a building in Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar market on Wednesday afternoon. After a few hours of effort, ten firefighters brought the fire under control, which started at around 2.54 pm.

The fire started from the electronic panel board installed in the building. There was a private bank in the ground floor and first floor of the building and a private company was running on the second and third floors. Delhi Fire Service personnel have rescued 80 people from the first, second and third floors and no casualty has been reported.

Following the incident, scenes of the dramatic rescue of 80 people emerged from the building.

Last June, five showrooms were damaged in a massive fire in Lajpat Nagar market. Fires broke out in three buildings, mainly showrooms for clothing, watches and crockery. No one was inside the shop at the time of the incident.
