Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Pays Tributes to Mahatma Gandhi At Raj Ghat Before Long Day Pooja

New DelhiDelhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat before starting his day-long puja for the “goodness of the country”. Kejriwal on Tuesday said he would pray for the country on Holi as he claimed that those doing good work were being arrested while those looting the country were on the run.

Addressing a digital press conference, he had said that he is concerned about the situation in the country. Delhi’s health and education sectors were neglected for 65 years before Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain turned things around with their hard work and ensured quality education and healthcare to the poor.

But Prime Minister Narendra Modi has “imprisoned those who did good work for the country (Jain and Sisodia), while embracing those who looted it”, the chief minister had said.

The Chief Minister had said, ‘I will meditate and pray on Holi for the betterment of the country. If you also feel that the Prime Minister is not doing the right thing, then you should also pray for the country after celebrating the festival.

Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on February 26 in the Delhi Excise Policy case and was sent to judicial custody on Monday. The ED had arrested Jain in May last year in a money laundering case. Both of them had recently resigned from the Delhi cabinet.
