Delhi-based chemical manufacturer Vikas Ecotech files patent for polymer nanocomposites

Vikas Ecotech, a leading provider of high-end specialty chemicals, announced that its R&D division has collaborated with King Khalid University, Saudi Arabia.

The company said it has filed a patent on ‘A Process for Designing Conducting Polymer Nanocomposites on Activated Carbon Membranes for the Removal of Bacterial Contamination from Polluted Wastewater’ in collaboration with King Khalid University.

The filing states that the technology employs a polymer nanocomposite-based membrane that aids in the removal of E. coli and total coliforms from wastewater. These nanocomposites are economically viable and may find wider market use than conventional wastewater treatment methods.
