The tussle between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intensified on Tuesday amid protests by the BJP and CM Kejriwal launching a scathing attack on the BJP-led Center and the Lt Governor.

Delhi Assembly Updates: Wednesday is the last day of the winter session of the Delhi Assembly, which began with an uproar on Monday. The tussle between the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intensified on Tuesday amid protests by the BJP and CM Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led Center and the lieutenant governor of the national capital.

After six BJP MLAs were marshalled out and two others walked out in protest, Kejriwal addressed the House, where he lashed out at the LG for interfering in government business.

  • Hours after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, the BJP dubbed the AAP chief an “extremely arrogant leader” who believed that winning elections would give him the freedom to “misinterpret and overturn constitutional provisions”. has got the right to do so.
  • Earlier in the day, attacking the BJP-led central government, Kejriwal said nothing is permanent in life and one day his party may come to power at the Center with its LG.

(MCD). The House was adjourned following protests by AAP legislators against the alleged interference by Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena in the functioning of the city government. The House kept getting adjourned repeatedly and hardly 10 minutes of proceedings could take place.
  • On Monday, Kejriwal along with Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and AAP MLAs had taken out a march to the Lieutenant Governor’s office to protest against the issue of teacher training in Finland. The LG’s office, however, insisted that it has not rejected the proposal, but advised the AAP government to evaluate it in totality.
  • Meanwhile, Delhi Congress president Anil Chowdhary on Monday hit out at the AAP and the BJP, alleging that the parties used the first day of the assembly session for political gimmicks instead of doing any business in public interest.
