COVID-19: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has tested positive for Covid-19. He was to attend the Indian Air Force commanders’ conference today (April 20) but had to skip it after testing positive for the virus.

A Defense Ministry official confirmed that Rajnath Singh has tested positive. The minister is currently in home quarantine with mild symptoms. A team of doctors examined him and advised him rest.

On Wednesday (April 19), the Defense Minister addressed the first Army Commanders’ Conference of the year 2023. The conference began on 17 April in a hybrid format. During the event, the top leadership of the Indian Army is holding extensive consultations on all aspects of the current security. Scenario, situation along the borders and in the hinterland and challenges to the present security apparatus.

Apart from this, the conference is also focusing on issues related to organizational restructuring, logistics, administration and human resource management. The highlight of the third day of the conference was the address by Rajnath Singh to the senior leadership of the Indian Army.
