Deepotsav 2021: UP government’s grand Diwali celebrations include aerial show using 500 drones

New Delhi: This year the Deepotsav in Ayodhya will be grander than ever as the Uttar Pradesh government is all set to once again celebrate Diwali in a grand manner.

This time the biggest attraction for the devotees will be the amazing aerial show with 500 drones. Glimpses of the life of Lord Ram will be shown in this 10- to 12-minute show using these drones.

Ayodhya Deepotsav will last for 3 days this time. Mukesh Meshram, Principal Secretary, Tourism, said that the closing ceremony of the International Ramayana Conference will be part of the celebrations.

Ayodhya Carnival will also be organized here. Apart from this, the goal of Deepotsav is to set a record of lighting 7.5 lakh diyas.

Mukesh Meshram told that ideas were sought from people to make the Diwali festival grand. A presentation has also been given based on the suggestions and work is in progress. The concept has been developed and several works have also been planned, he said.

Established a record by lighting 3,01,152 diyas in 2018 under Ayodhya Deepotsav.

After that, another record was set by 4,04,026 diyas in 2019 and 6,06,569 diyas in 2020.

In 2021, another record is set to be set by lighting 7.5 lakh diyas.

This time PM Narendra Modi is also likely to attend the Deepotsav. Keeping this in mind, preparations are being made. The theme of this year’s Deepotsav is likely to be created by Nitin Chandrakant Desai, the art director who created the Bahubali set. For this, Nitin Chandrakant Desai himself has contacted the Uttar Pradesh government and the Ayodhya Development Authority. Meanwhile, the Principal Secretary said that many suggestions have come, many people have contacted.
