Deepika Padukone welcomed her baby, a daughter, on Sunday. The actress and her husband, actor Ranveer Singh shared the news on Instagram. While Deepika is recovering is from labour, she got a special visitor at the hospital. A video surfaced online showing Ranveer’s sister visited Deepika at the hospital to check in on her and the newborn baby.
In a video shared on X, Ranveer’s sister Ritika Bhavnani was seen making her way to the hospital. The new bua chose to stay away from the media as she headed to meet the baby girl. Watch the video below:
Deepika and Ranveer confirmed that their baby girl arrived on September 8, Sunday. Taking to Instagram, they shared a post that read, “Welcome baby girl.” They were showered with love from many celebrities in Bollywood. Alia Bhatt took to the comments section and dropped a series of heart emojis. Priyanka Chopra also sent her love. Nick Jonas congratulated the couple as well. Katrina Kaif also sent her love to the couple while Sara Ali Khan wrote, “Ranveer and DeePee congratulations on your baby girl!!! Only joy and bliss to both of you .”
Kareena Kapoor wrote, “Congratulations mommy and daddy ❤️❤️from saifu and Beboo…God bless the little angel ❤️”.
Deepika was rushed to the hospital on Saturday evening. A source had previousl told News18 that Deepika would welcome her little one in a hospital in South Mumbai. The source added, “Her maternity leave will last till March of next year. And after that, she’ll immediately get busy with filming the sequel of Kalki along with Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Prabhas,” the source adds. On Friday (August 30), we exclusively reported that Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2 will get on floors in January-February 2025. And next year, she also plans on beginning work on The Intern co-starring Big B.
