Will Hulk appear in Deadpool & Wolverine?
Deadpool & Wolverine is set to release on July 26. Ahead of the release, several fan theories have flooded the internet.
The countdown for Deadpool & Wolverine has begun! The third Deadpool film in the franchise is set to release in July and fans are eagerly looking forward to Ryan Reynolds reunite with Hugh Jackman for an epic adventure. The trailers have already hinted that the X-Men duo will be off to exploring the alleys of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the film marks the first X-Men related movie after Disney took over Fox.
The trailers have confirmed that the duo will land in the void, first seen in Loki season 1. The recent trailer has also confirmed that Wolve and Deadpool will cross paths with Cassandra Nova. One of the trailers also showed that the anti-heroes will be jumping into a portal, originally connected with Doctor Strange.
With several clues available on hand, fans have been theorising that Deadpool and Wolverine will meet a few new and old faces. A few fans are convinced that one old face will be Hulk. A fan took to Reddit and shared an interesting theory.
“Cassandra Nova’s portal will lead straight into Sokovia during Age of Ultron, which is where the snowy scene came from, Mark Ruffalo’s savage Hulk will encounter them and just assume that Deadpool & Wolverine are both some random Ultron goons. Also, this is just a guess but because this variant of Wolverine is an alcoholic and Deadpool is a comedy I am betting Deadpool will try to boost Wolverines confidence like he is about to face a bully, but Logan just ends up getting smashed, there’s no shot Hulk loses a 3rd time in a row Then Deadpool resorts to plan B and tries to mimic Black Widows tactic “Hey big guy, the suns getting real low” just to get banana split by the Incredible Hulk,” the fan said.
To back their theory, the fan added, “Evidence: In the most recent D&W trailer from 21 hours ago Wolverine clashes with Sabertooth and Deadpool says “People have been waiting decades for this” even though we’ve already seen Wolverine fight Sabertooth in Xmen 2000 and Origins, while it will be cool to see them fight again, I doubt people have been anticipating a third rematch with that much excitement. Also, Mark Ruffalo worked with Ryan Reynolds on that movie The Adam Project right when Deadpool & Wolverine began production, and that was also a multiverse movie + this following picture, so take that as you will.”
Several Marvel fans took to the comments section and shared their two cents. “Yep and Deadpool will attempt “sun going down” only to get ripped in half,” a fan said, agreeing with the theory. However, many pointed out that the ‘sun going down’ gag has already been done in Deadpool 2 and the makers will not want to repeat it.
“That gag was already done in Deadpool 2, like literally this exact thing. I don’t think they’d double dip on bits like that unless there was an air of self-awareness and irony or something,” a fan said.
This is not the first time a theory about Hulk and Wolverine’s face-off has hit Reddit. A few months ago, another user on Reddit shared a similar theory. Reddit user ‘homodemiks’ wrote, “Deadpool & Wolverine is going to feature Wolverine vs. Hulk. And I don’t mean the cringey Smart Hulk, or a multiverse variant. I mean Age of Ultron Hulk.
Given all the time travel shenanigans we’re likely to see, It doesn’t seem out of the question that this forest in the trailer is the same one from the opening of Avengers Age of Ultron. So, i think this could mean that while Deadpool is fighting off TVA agents, Wolverine is off clashing with Hulk nearby. Maybe a stretch, but i feel like this scene would be underutilized if not.”
Well, we’ll have to wait until July 26 to know what will happen!
