The actress is reuniting with Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the upcoming romantic comedy-drama.
Rakul Preet Singh is wasting no time getting back into the swing of things after tying the knot with Jackky Bhagnani on February 21. The actress is reuniting with Ajay Devgn and Tabu in the upcoming romantic comedy-drama. Now, reports have surfaced indicating that she is gearing up to commence filming for the highly anticipated sequel to the 2019 romantic comedy hit, De De Pyaar De.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, a source close to the actress revealed, “The couple, Rakul and Jackky, have decided to put their honeymoon plans on hold and dive back into their work commitments. Rakul has already begun preparations for her upcoming film and will commence shooting for De De Pyaar De 2 from mid-May alongside Ajay Devgn.”
Directed by Anshul Sharma, De De Pyaar De 2 focuses on the challenges faced by Ayesha’s family as they come to know about her relationship with a man who is 50 years old. The film also features Arjun Rampal in a pivotal role. The commercial success of the first film released in 2019, is generating high expectations for the sequel among fans.
On February 21, Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani tied the knot in a dreamy location in Goa. Since their wedding, the couple has been sharing glimpses of their special moments with their fans. Sharing a photo of their wedding day, Rakul wrote in the caption, “Mine now and forever.”
Apart from De De Pyaar De 2, Rakul has an exciting lineup of projects in her kitty. She is all set to appear in director S. Shankar’s upcoming action drama film Indian 2. The film also features Kamal Haasan and Kajal Aggarwal. Additionally, she will also be seen in Mudassar Aziz’s romance drama Mere Husband ki Biwi alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Arjun Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Ajay Devgn is eagerly awaiting the release of his film Shaitaan, which also stars R Madhavan and Jyotika. The film portrays the story of a fight between good and evil, with a family personifying the forces of goodness, while a man symbolizes hatred. The film is set to release in theaters on March 8.
On the other hand, Tabu is busy promoting Rajesh Krishnan’s comedy-drama Crew alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kriti Sanon.
