NCB has so far arrested 17 people in this case. It also includes a foreign national. Out of these, 8 people are in judicial custody and other 8 accused are in NCB custody till 11 October.

Aryan Khan, son of actor Shahrukh Khan, will get bail or he will have to stay in jail for 14 days, it can be decided. Aryan and some other accused, who have been accused of having a drugs party on the cruise ship, are to be heard at 11 am today. Aryan Khan’s lawyer Satish Manshinde has given two bail applications in the court. One interim bail so that he gets immediate bail and the other regular bail i.e. till the time this case is investigated, Aryan Khan should be on bail, but under the NDPS Act, NCB has already opposed the regular bail. Earlier, after a 4-hour-long hearing, the court had ordered to send all the 8 accused, including Aryan, to judicial custody on Thursday.

However, there is no entry in the jail after 6 pm, so he had to spend the whole night in the lockup of the NCB. In the court, NCB’s lawyer Satish Manshinde told that the accused’s Kovid test is done before sending him to jail and Aryan’s corona test has not been done yet. It is believed that in case of rejection of bail by the court today, Aryan will first undergo a Kovid test and then he will be sent to Taloja Jail in Navi Mumbai.

NCB wanted custody till October 11
The NCB custody of Aryan Khan and the 7 arrested along with him ended yesterday. NCB had sought extension of their custody till October 11, but the court did not accept the NCB’s appeal and sent all the eight accused, including Aryan Khan, to judicial custody.

What arguments did Aryan’s lawyer give in the court?
Satish Manshinde told the court that Aryan has not been interrogated for 2 nights. Still, NCB is seeking Aryan’s custody. Manshinde said that NCB is repeatedly saying that it wants to reach out to the main accused, but till then Aryan cannot be kept hostage. Achit Kumar’s case was heard before the Aryan case. He was sent to NCB custody till 9 October. Achit was arrested on the basis of Aryan’s statement.

This claim made by NCB
It has been claimed by NCB that several links in the form of pictures chats have been found from Aryan’s phone, which point towards international drug trafficking. NCB had said that many code names have also been found in the chats and custody is required to trace them. The NCB had sought custody till October 11, which was rejected by the court.

Crowd seen in court room
Being a high profile case, there was a huge crowd in the courtroom. Because of this, the defense lawyer requested the judge that those who are not related to the case should be sent out of the court room. The judge asked the people involved in the case to raise their hands and ordered the rest to go out.

So far 17 people have been arrested in the case
NCB has so far arrested 17 people in this case. It also includes a foreign national. Out of these, 8 people are in judicial custody and other 8 accused are in NCB custody till 11 October. Those who have been sent to jail by the court include Arbaaz Merchant, Vikrant Chhokar, Gomit Chopra, Ishmeet Singh Chaddha, Mohak Jaiswal, Munmun Dhamicha and Nupur Satija besides his friends Arbaaz Merchant.
