In the scheme, women lure men out on dates at that particular restaurant, order expensive items that are off the menu, sit for a while, and then leave abruptly. Hence, the men are left with bills reaching as high as ₹61,000. He has also posted photos of the bills in the post.
Journalist Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj exposed a dating scam in Mumbai involving The Godfather Club, in which 12 victims are in contact with her, and three men have been trapped by the same girl with bills ranging from ₹23,000 to ₹61,000.

This scam initiates on dating apps like Tinder and Bumble, after which men are pushed for quick meetings at this specific restaurant. Then, she orders them drinks, hookah, fire shots, and other items without showing them the menu. After this, the girl disappears, and they are left with huge bills to be paid, failing which the bouncers would deal with them. She said that despite innumerable complaints and posts by victims, the Mumbai Police did nothing. She criticized the police for ignoring these incidents even after the complainants lodged formal complaints against them.
